Come in kraft packaging for their eco-friendly properties and because mealworms are what we call negative phototactics, meaning they move away from light sources. Therefore, it's unnatural for them to be constantly exposed to light, and they'll be healthier for it. For those who store them in the refrigerator, they'll even be less visible near food.

These worms, in popularity, come after crickets. Their nutritional value is poor, hence the importance of sprinkling them with multivitamins and calcium.
