Also known as bloodroot, Alternanthera ficoidea grows very well as a houseplant. The 'Party Time' variety has unique pink-variegated foliage. We love it for its fast growth and compact habit. It is recommended to pinch the tips of the stems (like basil) to encourage branching and the development of its dense foliage. During its growing season (summer), it prefers moist soil. Therefore, it is important to water regularly to keep the soil slightly moist, but not soggy.
Caution! Risk of toxicity if ingested.
