These worms, in popularity, come after crickets. Their nutritional value is poor, hence the importance of sprinkling them with multivitamins and calcium.

Non-noisy, economical, they have no unpleasant odor and require little space for their accommodation. Keep the mealworms in a dry medium such as oatmeal, chicken feed, cornmeal or a regular grain.
Offer them carrot slices and newspaper in several layers that you moisten occasionally, they could be used as hiding places and drinking trough. They can also be kept in the refrigerator for a long time.
