Product description:
Discoid roaches (Blaberus discoidalis) are excellent feeder insects, perfect for young reptiles, amphibians, and arachnids (e.g., young bearded dragons, geckos, small tarantulas, and growing Gila monsters). Highly nutritious and especially hardy, they stimulate the hunting instinct while offering a clearly superior alternative to traditional crickets.
Why choose discoid roaches?
Exceptional nutritional value: Rich in protein and offering an excellent calcium-to-phosphorus ratio to help prevent metabolic bone disease (MBD).
Hassle-free at home: They do not fly, climb smooth surfaces (such as glass or plastic), jump, or produce any unpleasant odors.
No risk of infestation: Unlike other species, they do not establish themselves in your home in the event of an occasional escape.
Quantity: x 10
Usage instructions:
Dust with calcium and vitamins as needed before feeding.
Offer an appropriately sized insect (the prey should not be larger than the space between the animal’s eyes).
Keep at room temperature with dry food (oat bran, feed pellets) and a source of hydration (water gel or pieces of animal or plant matter).
Storage / lifespan: An extremely hardy insect that can easily be kept for several weeks to a few months, depending on the care conditions.
