Product description:
The Cubaris “Black Panda” are woodlice highly valued in bioactive terrariums, both for their “collector” appearance and their usefulness. They help break down organic waste (dead leaves, decaying wood, food scraps) and contribute to keeping the substrate cleaner and more stable.
They mainly stay under hides and in leaf litter, and perform very well in terrariums with good humidity while maintaining a drier area for the gradient.
Quantity: 10
Highlights:
Good “cleanup crew”: consumes plant debris and decomposing matter
Attractive and interesting variety for display terrariums
Interesting behavior, often active under hides
Well suited for tropical/semi-tropical terrariums with a humidity gradient
Can curl into a ball (typical “rolly polly” behavior)
Tips & Parameters:
Humidity: medium to high (a humid zone is necessary, but a drier zone is essential).
Tip: maintain a gradient (a humid zone + a drier zone).
Temperature: around 22–27°C (more stable breeding in warm, consistent conditions).
Food:
continuous leaf litter (base)
supplements: vegetable pieces, La Swamp woodlouse food, etc. (in small amounts)
Calcium: always have a source available (cuttlefish bone, calcium, well-dried eggshells, etc.)
Warning: avoid soggy substrate and overfeeding (mold/mite issues). Proper ventilation + feeding in small amounts helps a lot.
