Cashew leaves are a perfect natural botanical for both bioactive terrariums and aquariums. They add a very realistic “forest” touch, create refuge areas, and contribute to a more stable and natural environment.
In terrariums, they serve as litter and gradually break down, which can help support the microfauna (isopods/springtails) in a bioactive setup. In aquariums, they are appreciated for encouraging biofilm (grazing area) and for releasing a small amount of tannins, creating a more natural atmosphere for the tank inhabitants.
