Product Description:
Cubaris “Glacier” isopods are exceptional woodlice, highly prized in bioactive terrarium keeping for their elegance and immaculate appearance. With their distinctive white to pearly hue, they provide a striking visual contrast in display tanks while playing a key role in the ecosystem. They actively participate in terrarium cleaning by consuming organic debris (dead leaves, decaying wood, uneaten food) and help maintain a clean, healthy, and balanced substrate.

These magnificent isopods appreciate shaded areas, dense leaf litter, and moss. They thrive particularly well in tropical or semi-tropical terrariums with high humidity and a good moisture gradient.

Quantity: 15+

Highlights:
Unique aesthetics: White/icy coloration ideal for creating a stunning visual contrast in a display terrarium

Superb "cleanup crew": Effectively removes decaying organic matter and prevents waste buildup

Excellent collector strain: Highly sought after by isopod and bioactive tank enthusiasts

Perfect for tropical environments: Adapts very well to warm and humid conditions

Defensive behavior: May roll into a ball when threatened (typical "rolly polly" behavior)

Tips & Parameters:
Humidity: Medium to high. Keep approximately 60-70% of the substrate surface slightly damp (sphagnum moss zone) while maintaining a drier area to provide a true moisture gradient.

Temperature: Ideally between 22°C and 26°C to promote healthy development and stable reproduction.

Food:
Free access to leaf litter and decomposed white wood (essential basis of their diet).

Supplements: Specialized woodlouse food (La Swamp), thinly sliced fresh vegetables, and occasional protein (powders/dry food).

Calcium: A constant supply of calcium (cuttlebone, La Swamp calcium, or crushed eggshells) is essential for hardening their exoskeleton during molting.

Caution: Ensure adequate ventilation to avoid stagnant air, avoid waterlogged substrate and do not overfeed to prevent the development of mold or mites.
