Product description:
White springtails (Folsomia candida) are among the most commonly used and reliable springtail species in bioactive terrariums. Robust, prolific, and easy to maintain, they are an essential cleaning microfauna for any temperate or tropical bioactive setup. Their voracious appetite for molds, fungi, and organic waste makes them valuable allies for maintaining a clean and balanced substrate. Their small size and constant mobility also make them excellent live prey for small insectivores.

Usage (terrarium):
As bioactive microfauna: Introduce directly into the terrarium substrate. Folsomia candida quickly colonize the entire environment and feed on molds, feces, and organic debris. Compatible with temperate and tropical setups.

As feeder prey: Ideal for dendrobatids, small geckos, juvenile amphibians, scorpions, and small invertebrates requiring tiny, mobile prey.

Tips & parameters:
Optimal temperature: 18–25 °C — tolerates cooler temperatures than most tropical species
Humidity: moderate to high — substrate slightly moist at all times
Feed with La Swamp springtail food
