Product description:
The Porcellionides pruinosus “Creamsicle” are woodlice highly valued in bioactive terrariums for their efficiency and rapid establishment. They help to break down organic waste (food scraps, dead leaves, small molds) and contribute to keeping the substrate cleaner and more stable.
An active and generally very prolific species, it is ideal for quickly establishing a functional microfauna in a bioactive terrarium, with a good leaf litter and a moisture gradient.
Quantity: 15
Key Points:
Excellent “cleanup crew”: consumes waste, plant debris, and micro-molds
Species often very prolific if humidity and food are adequate
Active and useful for starting/boosting a bioactive terrarium
Helps stabilize the bioactive substrate in the long term
Attractive variety (Creamsicle)
Tips & Parameters:
Humidity: medium (they like a moist area but need a drier zone).
Tip: maintain a gradient (a moist zone + a drier zone).
Temperature: around 20–27°C (faster reproduction in warm and stable conditions).
Food:
continuous leaf litter (base)
supplements: vegetable pieces, La Swamp woodlouse food, etc. (in small amounts)
Calcium: always have a source available (cuttlefish bone, calcium, well-dried eggshells, etc.)
