Product description:
The Armadillidium nasatum (Wild type) are woodlice highly valued in bioactive terrariums for their robustness and efficiency. They contribute to terrarium cleaning by consuming organic debris (dead leaves, decaying wood, food scraps) and help maintain a healthier and more stable substrate.
This species is generally easy to keep and performs very well in a well-established terrarium with a good leaf litter and a humidity gradient (wet zone + drier zone).
Quantity: 15

Highlights:
Robust and tolerant species, ideal for beginners
Good “cleanup crew”: consumes plant debris and decomposing matter
Quite active and often visible under hides
Helps stabilize the bioactive substrate in the long term
Can roll into a ball (typical Armadillidium behavior)

Tips & Parameters:
Humidity: moderate (a wet zone is necessary, but a drier zone is essential).
Tip: maintain a gradient (a wet zone + a drier zone).
Temperature: around 18–26°C (very tolerant).

Food:
continuous leaf litter (base)
supplements: vegetable pieces, La Swamp woodlouse food, etc. (in small amounts)
Calcium: always have a source available (cuttlefish bone, calcium, well-dried eggshells, etc.)
Warning: avoid continuously soggy substrate and overfeeding (mold/mites). Regularly add dry leaves and some decaying wood to maintain a good food base.
